“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 10:32)
Having heard, believed, repented, it is now time for one to confess that Jesus is the son of God, in the company of witnesses. It is not until the three prior steps have been completed that one is ready to finally confess that Jesus is the son of God. I find it interesting that what one does toward men, Jesus does toward his heavenly Father. Oftentimes, what we do toward men Jesus counts as a response for or against him. It is as if it is a recognition of a desire for obedience, or the lack thereof.
